National Lok Adalat on September 12 to settle pending, pre-litigation cases in Cachar

way2barak, September 3: — The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Cachar, Silchar will organise a National Lok Adalat on September 12, 2026, across Cachar district for amicable settlement of a wide range of pending and pre-litigation cases.

The Lok Adalat will commence at 9:30 AM onwards at the District Court Campus, Family Court Campus and Lakhipur Court Campus.

Pending cases relating to civil disputes, special electricity cases, GR and PRC cases involving compoundable offences, Negotiable Instruments Act cases, Motor Vehicle Act cases, matrimonial matters and Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) cases, among others, will be taken up during the Lok Adalat.

Pre-litigation cases relating to APDCL, BSNL and various banks will also be considered for settlement.

The DLSA, Cachar has requested both parties in the respective cases who have received summons or notices to participate in the National Lok Adalat and avail the opportunity to settle their disputes through mutual compromise.

Conciliators will be made available by DLSA, Cachar at the concerned courts and designated booths to assist the parties and facilitate the settlement of cases taken up during the Lok Adalat.
