Mob attacks Chief Minister’s carcade in Guwahati, smashed rear windshield

February 7: In an untoward incident, an angry mob vandalised a vehicle used at the convoy of Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal at the Chatribari area of Guwahati on Thursday afternoon.

As per reports, one of the Fortuner vehicles of the CMs convoy bearing registration number AS01DW7845 hit a scooty while taking a U-turn at the busy Chatribari area.

This led to an alteration of words between the scooty owner and the car driver. In no time, a crowd gathered at the spot. The mob too involved in this quarrel and attacked the vehicle. They started pelting stones and smashed its rear windshield. The driver initially tried to run away. Police reached the spot and brought the situation under control.
