Heritage Plantation inaugurated at Assam University by Parimal Suklabaidya
আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ঐতিহ্যবাহী বৃক্ষরোপণের সূচনা পরিমলের

December 11: The Apurugiya Brikhya Plantation was inaugurated by Minister of Environment & Forests, Fisheries and Excise, Parimal Suklabaidya at Assam University campus on Wednesday. The plantation programme was organised jointly by Assam Forest Department and Assam University, Silchar.

The Apurugiya Pantation (Heritage Plantation) is a pioneer initiative of the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of Assam and is first of its kind in Barak Valley where all plants that bear rich heritage of the past will be planted.

The said ecological park was inaugurated by the Forest Minister in the the presence of Prof. Dilip Chandra Nath, Vice Chancellor of Assam, University, Additional Chief Secretary Jishnu Baruah along with a host of officials belonging to various departments.
