Legal Awareness Camp Held at Durgakona by Assam Universityদরগাকোনায় আইনি সচেতনতা শিবির আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের
ওয়ে টু বরাক, ৩১ আগস্ট : আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের আইনি সহায়তা সেলের উদ্যোগে শনিবার দরগাকোনা কমিউনিটি হলে আয়োজিত হল বিনামূল্যে আইনি সচেতনতা শিবির। সহায়তায় ছিল জেলা আইনি পরিষেবা কর্তৃপক্ষ (ডিএলএসএ)।
এই শিবিরে বিভিন্ন আইনি বিষয়ের ওপর আলোকপাত করে বক্তব্য রাখেন স্কুল অব লিগ্যাল স্টাডিজের ডিন তথা আইনি সহায়তা সেলের সমন্বয়ক অধ্যাপক মধুমিতা ধর সরকার, ডঃ সন্দীপ কুমার সুমন ও ডঃ দৃষ্টিরূপা পাটগিরি। শিবিরে উপস্থিত ছিলেন আইরংমারা স্কুলের অধ্যক্ষ বিজয় প্রকাশ পাঠক, ডিএলএসএ-এর প্যারালিগ্যাল স্বেচ্ছাসেবক মানিক পাল প্রমুখ।
আইন বিভাগের শিক্ষার্থীরা বাংলা, হিন্দি ও ভোজপুরি ভাষায় নাটক পরিবেশন করেন। এতে ব্যাখ্যা করা হয় যে, সীমিত আর্থিক সামর্থ্যের মানুষ কীভাবে বিনামূল্যে আইনি সহায়তা পেতে পারেন। সেইসঙ্গে লোক আদালতের গুরুত্বও তুলে ধরা হয়।
এদিনের শিবিরে শতাধিক লোক অংশ নেন। প্রসঙ্গত, বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের আইনি সহায়তা সেল নিয়মিত বিনামূল্যে আইনি সহায়তা প্রদানের মাধ্যমে সমাজের সুবিধাবঞ্চিত মানুষদের সহায়তা করে আসছে।
Way2barak, August 31 : The Legal Aid Cell of Assam University, Silchar, together with the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Cachar, organized a Legal Awareness Camp on free legal aid at Durgakona Community Hall on Saturday at 3:30 p.m.
The programme was led by Prof. Madhumita Dhar Sarkar, Dean of the School of Legal Studies and Coordinator of the Legal Cell, along with faculty members Dr. Sandeep Kumar Suman and Dr. Dristirupa Patgiri. The event was also attended by Bijay Prakash Pathak, Principal of Irongmara School, and Manik Paul, Paralegal Volunteer from DLSA.
Students of the Department of Law performed a skit and gave speeches in Bengali, Hindi, and Bhojpuri. They explained how people with limited financial means can get free legal help and spoke about the importance of Lok Adalats. They also informed the audience about the upcoming Lok Adalat on September 13, 2025.
Nearly 100–110 people took part in the camp, and many of them reached out to the organizers afterward for more details. The Legal Aid Cell of Assam University has assured that it will continue to support disadvantaged people in the community by providing free legal help in the future.
