way2barak, July 8: India is moving forward with the mantra of “reform, perform and transform,” Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Tuesday, as he underlined that the country’s self-reliance is a multiplying force not only for Indonesia but for the entire ASEAN region. Mr. Modi also asked the Indian community members to tell their Indonesian friends about India and encourage them to visit the country.

Supplying BrahMos and Astra missiles to Indonesia, boosting maritime security, and strengthening critical mineral supply chains emerged as the key outcomes of Tuesday’s talks between Mr. Modi and President Prabowo Subianto.

The two sides inked nearly a dozen agreements to significantly shore up two-way cooperation in a range of areas including critical minerals, technology, food security, medicines and maritime security.

Earlier in the day, Mr. Modi was conferred with Indonesia’s highest honour ‘Bintang Adipurna of the Republic of Indonesia’ medal for his role in strengthening the ties between both the countries.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded a grand ceremonial welcome upon his arrival in Jakarta, Indonesia, on Tuesday, marking the start of his official state visit to deepen bilateral ties and strengthen strategic cooperation between the two nations. He is on a three-nation diplomatic visit.
