2534 tests +ve in Assam on Friday; 16 COVID-19 deaths registered in the state

Sept. 11: On Friday, Assam registered 2534 new COVID-19 cases. With this, the state tally of novel coronavirus has now gone upto 1,38,339, out of which, 32,205 are active cases. In a tweet, State Health Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “Alert ~ 2534 #COVID cases detected today out of 36413 tests done in last 24 hours Positivity Rate- 6.96% Kamrup M- 588; Jorhat- 194; Dibrugarh- 172; Dhemaji- 153.”

Further, 16 more deaths due to COVID-19 were registered in the state, thereby taking the death toll to 430.
