Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurates PepsiCo plant in Assam

way2barak, September 11: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma posted a video on his X account, sharing the inauguration of PepsiCo’s manufacturing plant in Nalbari, Assam, with an investment of Rs 778 crore. The company’s facility is spread over 44.2 acres.

“The inauguration of PepsiCo India’s food manufacturing facility in Nalbari is another important milestone in Assam’s industrial growth story. This investment underscores the confidence that leading global companies have in Assam’s business-friendly policies, infrastructure development and skilled workforce,” Himanta Biswa Sarma, chief minister of Assam, said.

In a separate post with pictures of Lays chips, Sarma said, “Your familiar favourite, now proudly made in Assam.”

The Assam CM shared a series of updates, visuals, and live streams on social media, highlighting the monumental achievement for the state’s industrial and agricultural growth.
