Heroine seized, one arrested in Kanakpur

way2barak, April 2: Based on credible input, today at about 6:30 PM, a team from Silchar PS conducted a raid against narcotic substances. During the operation, five soap cases of suspected heroin were recovered from the possession of Abul Hussain Choudhury, S/O Lt. Aluding Choudhury, resident of Kanakpur Part-II, PS Silchar, from his rented house. Police informs that the total weight of the seized article is 61 gm and total value Ra. 31 lakhs approximately. Necessary legal action is being initiated in this regard.
