Health camp for jail inmates conducted in Hailakandi

April 16: 31 inmates of District Jail, Hailakandi  were examined by a team of doctors and provided medicine free of cost. Held under the auspices of District Legal Services Authority, the health camp was supervised by Dr. BH Khandakar, Dr. Kamil Ahmed Mazarbhuiya and Sahid Hussain Mazumder.

Besides health check-up, including blood pressure and RBS, the jail inmates were given legal advice by Secretary, DLSA, Karuna Devi. She interacted with the jail inmates and tried to sort out the different issues faced by them. Devi gave directions to untrained para legal volunteers of the jail clinic to jot down various inmate-related issues and report to DLSA for legal help and assistance.
