Govt Girls’ Alumni Association along with Srihatta Sammelani distribute clothes among the poor in Silchar

way2barak, Sept.11: The Alumni Association of Government Girls’ HS & MP School continued their humanitarian activities. On Saturday, the Alumni Association in collaboration with Srihatta Sammelini, Bengaluru distributed old clothes among the poor and needy people residing at Chencoorie Road, Silchar.

The cloth distribution camp was organised at the local Shani Temple, wherein around 400 beneficiaries comprising of male, female and children were given the clothes. The entire camp was organised under the guidance of Dr.Bijoy Lakshmi Das, President of the Alumni Association of Government Girls’ HS & MP School.

The Alumni Association expressed its gratitude to the local resident Nishi Sarkar and others for lending a helping hand in the proper management of this cloth distribution camp. This was informed in a press release issued by Sangita Dutta, Secretary of the Alumni Association.
