3.390 found Covid +ve in Assam, 876 discharged & 4 deaths registered on Saturday

Jan. 15: On Saturday, out of 34,355 tests, 3,390 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,44,026. The positivity rate in the state is 9.87 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 919 positive cases during the day. Further, on Saturday, 04 died in the state due to COVID-19. The deceased are from Dibrugarh, Jorhat, Kamrup Rural & Golaghat. The death toll in the state stands at 6,201. The recovery rate is 96.07 percent. Also, 876 patients were discharged during the day. At present, there are 17,777 active cases in the state.

It needs mention here that on Friday, 2,348 persons tested positive in Assam and 05 deaths were registered.
