ওয়ে টু বরাক, ২৬ আগস্ট : ড্রোন প্রযুক্তি ও এর বিভিন্ন প্রয়োগ সম্পর্কে শিক্ষার্থীদের দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি এবং উদ্ভাবনী চিন্তাভাবনাকে উৎসাহিত করার লক্ষ্যে আসাম বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে শুরু হয়েছে ড্রোন প্রযুক্তি ও সংশ্লিষ্ট প্রয়োগ নিয়ে পাঁচ দিনের প্রশিক্ষণ শিবির। গতকাল বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কৃষি প্রকৌশল বিভাগে এই প্রশিক্ষণ শিবিরের উদ্বোধন হয়। চলবে ২৯ আগস্ট পর্যন্ত। শিলচরের ন্যাশনাল ইনস্টিটিউট অব টেকনোলজির উদ্যোগে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের কৃষি প্রকৌশল বিভাগ, ত্রিমাত্রিক মুদ্রণাগার এবং উদ্যোক্তা উন্নয়ন কেন্দ্রের সহযোগিতায় এই প্রশিক্ষণ শিবিরের আয়োজন করা হয়েছে। জেট অ্যারোস্পেস অ্যাভিয়েশন রিসার্চ সেন্টারের সহযোগিতায় আয়োজিত কর্মসূচিতে প্রযুক্তিগত সহায়তা করছে ভারতীয় প্রযুক্তিবিদ্যা প্রতিষ্ঠান, দিল্লির অধীন বিজ্ঞান ও প্রযুক্তি বিভাগের সহায়তায় প্রতিষ্ঠিত প্রযুক্তি উদ্ভাবন কেন্দ্র আইএইচএফসি।

স্বাগত বক্তব্যে কৃষি প্রকৌশল বিভাগের ভারপ্রাপ্ত প্রধান ড. অজিতা তিওয়ারি দ্রুত পরিবর্তনশীল মানববিহীন আকাশযান প্রযুক্তির ক্ষেত্রে প্রযুক্তিগত সক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধি ও উদ্ভাবনকে উৎসাহিত করার ক্ষেত্রে এই প্রশিক্ষণ শিবিরের গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরেন। পাঁচ দিনের প্রশিক্ষণ কর্মসূচিতে মানববিহীন আকাশযান, ড্রোনের নকশা ও পরিচালনা, সংশ্লিষ্ট বিধিনিষেধ এবং বাস্তব ক্ষেত্রে এর বিভিন্ন প্রয়োগ সম্পর্কে হাতে-কলমে প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হচ্ছে। কৃষি প্রকৌশল বিভাগের স্নাতক ও স্নাতকোত্তর স্তরের শিক্ষার্থীদের প্রযুক্তিগত দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধির পাশাপাশি উদীয়মান ড্রোন প্রযুক্তিতে তাঁদের উদ্ভাবনী ভাবনাকে উৎসাহিত করাই এই কর্মসূচির অন্যতম লক্ষ্য।

অনুষ্ঠানে বক্তব্য রাখতে গিয়ে অধ্যাপক দেবমাল্য ঘোষ তরুণদের মধ্যে উদ্যোক্তা মানসিকতা গড়ে তোলার ক্ষেত্রে এই ধরনের কর্মসূচির গুরুত্বপূর্ণ ভূমিকার কথা উল্লেখ করেন। তিনি বলেন, তরুণদের দক্ষতা বৃদ্ধি তাঁদের সৃজনশীলতা ও জ্ঞানকে বাস্তবভিত্তিক উদ্যোগে রূপান্তরিত করার অন্যতম প্রধান মাধ্যম। এনআইটির ড. রঞ্জন হাজরা ও ড. বাদল সক্ষমতা বৃদ্ধির কর্মসূচি হিসেবে এই প্রশিক্ষণ শিবিরের গুরুত্ব তুলে ধরেন। তাঁরা প্রশিক্ষণ শেষে শিক্ষার্থীদের জন্য সম্ভাব্য শিক্ষানবিশির সুযোগ সম্পর্কেও বিস্তারিত জানান।

প্রশিক্ষণ শিবিরে সহযোগী প্রতিষ্ঠানগুলির বিশেষজ্ঞরা ড্রোনের কাঠামো, নিয়ন্ত্রণ ব্যবস্থা, বিভিন্ন সরঞ্জাম সংযোজন এবং কৃষি, নজরদারি, মানচিত্র তৈরি ও দুর্যোগ ব্যবস্থাপনায় ড্রোনের ব্যবহার নিয়ে প্রযুক্তিগত অধিবেশন পরিচালনা করছেন। পাশাপাশি অংশগ্রহণকারীদের ড্রোন সংযোজন, ক্যালিব্রেশন এবং উড্ডয়ন পরিচালনার বিষয়ে হাতে-কলমে প্রশিক্ষণ দেওয়া হচ্ছে।

Way2barak, August 26 : A five-day bootcamp on Drone Technology and Related Applications has begun at Assam University, Silchar, with the objective of enhancing students’ technical skills in drone technology and encouraging innovation and entrepreneurial thinking. The programme was inaugurated on August 25 at the Department of Agricultural Engineering and will continue until August 29.

The bootcamp has been organised by the National Institute of Technology (NIT), Silchar, in collaboration with the Department of Agricultural Engineering, 3D Printing Lab and Entrepreneurship Development Centre of Assam University. The programme is being conducted with the support of Jet Aerospace Aviation Research Centre, while technical assistance is being provided by IHFC, the Technology Innovation Hub established under the Department of Science and Technology at IIT Delhi.

In her welcome address, Dr. Ajita Tiwari, Head-in-Charge of the Department of Agricultural Engineering, highlighted the importance of the bootcamp in strengthening technical capabilities and promoting innovation in the rapidly evolving field of unmanned aerial vehicle technology.

The five-day training programme covers unmanned aerial vehicles, drone design and operation, relevant regulations and their practical applications. Hands-on training is being provided to participants, with a particular focus on enhancing the technical skills of undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Department of Agricultural Engineering and encouraging innovative ideas in the emerging field of drone technology.

Speaking on the occasion, Professor Debmalya Ghosh highlighted the important role of such programmes in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset among young people. He observed that skill development among youth is an important means of transforming their creativity and knowledge into practical and innovative ventures.
Dr. Ranjan Hazra and Dr. Badal from NIT, Silchar, also emphasised the significance of the bootcamp as a capacity-building initiative. They briefed the participants about possible apprenticeship opportunities following the completion of the training.

Experts from the collaborating institutions are conducting technical sessions on drone structures, control systems, integration of different equipment, and applications of drones in agriculture, surveillance, mapping and disaster management. Participants are also receiving hands-on training in drone assembly, calibration and flight operations.
