Final electoral roll published for Silchar Municipal Corporation Election

way2barak, July 15:– The Office of the District Commissioner, Cachar on Wednesday published the Final Electoral Roll for the forthcoming Silchar Municipal Corporation Election, 2026 in accordance with the schedule notified by the Assam State Election Commission.

The electoral roll has been finalized after the disposal of all claims and objections received during the revision period, following the procedure prescribed under the relevant guidelines of the Assam State Election Commission. With the publication of the final roll, the electoral process for the municipal election has entered another important stage, ensuring that eligible voters across the municipal area are included in the official list.

According to the Final Electoral Roll, the total number of electors in the Silchar Municipal Corporation area stands at 2,70,774. Of these, 1,29,878 are male electors, 1,40,885 are female electors, and 11 are registered as third gender electors.

The Final Electoral Roll has been prepared for all 42 wards of the Silchar Municipal Corporation and has been made available through the official website of the District Administration for public access and verification.
