‘Chiprang’, ‘Gaddar’ not BJP culture; indiscipline will invite action: Assam BJP chief

way2barak April 29: Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia on Tuesday cautioned party members against using derogatory language on social media, asserting that terms like “Chiprang” and “Gaddar” are not part of the party’s culture and will invite disciplinary action.

In a statement issued from the party’s state headquarters, Saikia said instances had come to light of some members venting anger online using such expressions. “Social media is not a platform for resentment. Such language goes against the ethos and values of the BJP,” he said, urging karyakartas to maintain dignity and decorum at all times.
