1 detected Covid +ve till 5 PM in Cachar on Sunday

Nov. 7: Only 01 new case of COVID-19 was reported till 5 PM on Sunday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 815 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 01 person was found positive, whereas till the filing of this report, RT-PCR test results were not made available. It needs mention here that 06 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Saturday.

The Covid-19 situation in Cachar is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 6 November to 5 PM on 7 November) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Sunday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 7 November, there were 03 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patient was put under ventilator support, and also none were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, no Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 04 of them were discharged.
