Abhishek Debroy appointed as Tripura BJP President

way2barak, May 28 : In a significant organisational reshuffle within the Bharatiya Janata Party, the party’s national leadership on Friday announced the appointment of Abhishek Debroy as the new President of the party’s Tripura Pradesh unit.

The appointment was made by the party’s national president Nitin Nabin, according to an official notification issued by Arun Singh, National General Secretary and Headquarters In-Charge of the BJP.

As per the letter dated May 28, 2026, Abhishek Debroy, who is currently serving as an MLA, has been entrusted with the responsibility of leading the party organisation in Tripura with immediate effect.

The development is being viewed as an important political decision ahead of the party’s future organisational and electoral strategies in the northeastern state. Party workers and leaders across Tripura have welcomed the announcement, expressing hope that the new leadership will further strengthen the BJP’s grassroots network and organisational activities in the state.
