Silchar Red Cross receives 2 oxygen generators

June 28: Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch, Silchar were provided two Oxygen generators, 2 cylinders, 2 small transformers and 2 gauge sets by Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Assam State Branch. On behalf of Silchar branch of Red Cross, the materials were received on its behalf by local MLA Dipayan Chakraborty from the hands of the State President of IRCS Assam, Prof, Jagdish Mukhi, Governor of Assam on Monday.

Expressing his views, MLA Dipayan Chakraborty said, “It was a moment of great happiness and pride to have represented Indian Red Cross Society, District Branch, Silchar to receive two numbers each of oxygen generators, cylinders, transformers and gauge sets from Indian Red Cross Society, State Branch with the support and help from Indian Red Cross Society, National Headquarter, New Delhi. The system was handed over by His Highness, Honourable Governor of Assam, Prof. Jagdish Mukhi. I on behalf of District Branch, Silchar convey my gratitude to all concerned for this noble venture. I offer my special thanks to Diganta Bujarboruah, General Secretary, State Branch for inviting me to be present at today’s programme.”

It needs mention here that the Indian Red Cross Society, Assam State Branch with the help and support from Indian Red Cross Society, National Headquarter, New Delhi has donated these items to Red Cross Hospital Silchar under Indian Red Cross Society, Silchar District Branch for smooth functioning of the hospital during this pandemic.
