Former Professor of Assam Univ & present Dean of Gourbanga Univ Bikash Roy dies of Covid-19

April 26: Prof. Bikash Roy, Head of the Department of Bengali & also the Dean of the School of the University of Gour Banga in West Bengal breathed his last due to Covid-19. Earlier, Prof Roy also worked as a faculty member in the Department of Bengali, Assam University, Silchar. His death was mourned by the academic coterie throughout the country.
