April 20: Amid the spike in the number of coronavirus cases in the country, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation at 8.45 PM on Tuesday. PM Modi said that the states should used lockdown as the last resort and rather should concentrate more on micro containment zones. He said, “Our aim must be to evade a complete lockdown.

“I appreciate all the doctors, nursing staff, paramedics, sanitation workers, policemen of the nation. You worked selflessly during the first wave, and are again doing the same today,” said the Prime Minister. In a grave tone, the Prime Minister said, “Those who lost their near ones, I stand with you as a family member.” He appreciated the doctors, nursing staff, paramedics, sanitation workers, policemen of the nation and said, “You worked selflessly during the first wave, and are again doing the same today.”

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the country is once again “fighting a huge battle”. He said that the 2nd wave has come “like a storm.” PM Narendra Modi said that the pharma sector has increased the production of medicines. More medicines being produced now than in January and February, he said. “We are promptly and sensitively working on the oxygen crisis. We are trying to ensure that every patient gets oxygen,” added the PM. He further said that work will not stop and urged upon the migrants to stay in their work places.

He appealed to the people to stay at home as far as practicable and follow all Covid protocols. He appelaed to the youths to aware the masses following Covid guidelines. He said that the people need to be patient. “Stop spreading rumours,” appealed the PM.
