2 earthquakes jolt Assam on Monday late night

March. 1: Two earthquakes within a span of 15 minutes jolted Sonitpur and Morigaon in Assam on Monday late night. An earthquake measuring 2.9 on the Richter scale, jolted Morigaon and adjoining areas at 10.32 pm on. the second quake occurred. The earthquake occurred at a depth of 15 kms. Meanwhile, just after 15 minutes, another earthquake measuring 2.7 on the Richter scale took place at Sonitpur district of Assam. The quake occurred at 1.47 PM.
