Fake Indian currency worth ₹5.5 lakh seized in Silchar, 2 arrested
Sept. 24: Fake currency has become a major threat for the nation. Off and on, such rackets dealing with fake caurrency are nabbed from almost every part of the country. On Thursday, such a racket was busted in Silchar. As per reports, Silchar Police conducted an operation in Nagatilla area from where fake currency worth Rs. 5,50,000 was seized. Two persons in this connection were also arrested by the police. They are Sarimul Hoque of Jirighat and Iqbal Hossein of Masimpur. Investigation is on to find out the details of the racket.
