Silchar College of Education donates Rs. 25,000 to Assam Arogya Nidhi

May 8: Silchar College of Education has extended its helping hand to the government in its fight against coronavirus. A cheque of Rs. 25,000 was given by the Nagatilla based college of Silchar. On Thursday, the cheque of Rs.25,000 in favour of Assam Arogya Nidhi was handed over to Silchar MP Dr. Rajdeep Roy by the teachers of Silchar College of Education, Indrani Bhattacharjee, Satadal Bhattacharjee and its Treasurer Manju Kumar Das.

The amount was collected by means of contribution made by both the teaching and non-teaching staff of Silchar College of Education from their salary. Even the Managing Committee of the college made their contribution. Expressing his reaction, Dr. Rajdeep Roy thanked the entire fraternity of Silchar College of Education for the generous contribution they have made at the call of State Education Minister, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sharma.
