Way2barak, October 1 : The Assam University Teachers’ Association (AUTA) has extended its support to the people affected by the recent devastating floods in Assam. As part of its humanitarian initiative, the teachers’ association donated Rs 1 lakh to the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund on Wednesday for relief and rehabilitation of the flood-affected people.
The cheque was handed over to Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma by AUTA President Dr. Amit Kumar Das and General Secretary Dr. Biswaranjan Roy at the Barak Valley office of the Assam Secretariat.
