Cachar DC accelerates land record verification and compensation for major infrastructure projects

way2barak, November 4: In a determined push for regional infrastructure growth, the District Commissioner of Cachar, Mridul Yadav, convened a high-level meeting to expedite land record verification and speed up compensation payments for land acquired under the Bharatmala Pariyojana. The meeting, held in the newly inaugurated conference hall of the DC office on Monday, aimed to streamline administrative processes and bolster support for crucial infrastructure projects, including the Badarpur and Panchgram Bypass packages.
DC Yadav emphasized the importance of verifying recently digitized land records, aiming to enhance transparency and efficiency in land management. He urged officials to ensure records are accurate and up-to-date, as reliable land documentation is essential for both fair compensation and the successful advancement of the district’s infrastructure projects.
Special focus was given to the timely disbursement of compensation to landowners whose properties have been acquired for these projects. DC Yadav underscored the need for immediate action, stressing that these payments not only reflect the government’s commitment to development but also uphold the rights of local communities impacted by the expansion.
Dr. Khaleda Sultana Ahmed, Additional District Commissioner for Land Acquisition, and other key officials, including Circle and Branch Officers, were present to discuss strategies for overcoming any roadblocks in the land acquisition process. The meeting reflected a strong commitment to the timely and transparent implementation of these critical initiatives, signaling a future of growth and enhanced connectivity for the Cachar district.
