District level meeting cum training held on Protection of Children in Silchar

way2barak, Sept.8: A District level meeting cum Training was held with all the OC’s of Cachar regarding Protection of Children who are victims of Child Marriage, Child Trafficking, Child Labour and Child Abuse. The meeting held on Wednesday was presided by Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Rohan Kr Jha.

A special guest and child right expert, Dr. Amitabh Singh, Asst. Prof, Dept. of Law, Assam University, spoke about various aspects of Child Protection. ADC Social Welfare, DSP Cachar, DCPO Unit, Cachar, CWC Members, JJB members, UNICEF Coordinators and Child Helpline Coordinators were also present in the meeting.
