8,339 found Covid +ve in Assam, 2,723 discharged & 15 deaths registered on Wednesday

Jan. 19: On Wednesday, out of 64,699 tests, 8,339 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 6,70,128. The positivity rate in the state is 12.89 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 1,929 positive cases during the day. Further, on Wednesday, 15 died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,248. The recovery rate is 93.62 percent. Also, 2,723 persons were discharged during the day. There are at present 35,161 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 8,072 persons tested positive in Assam and 16 deaths were registered.
