1,436 tests Covid-19 +ve in Assam on Tuesday, 18 deaths registered

July 27: On Tuesday, out of 1,55,495 tests, 1,436 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus has now gone upto 5,61,455. The positivity rate in the state is 0.92 percent. Kamrup (Metro) district registered 169 positive cases during the day. Further, on Tuesday, 18 more persons lost their lives in the state due to COVID-19. With this, the death toll in the state reached 5,180. The recovery rate is 96.40 percent.

It needs mention here that on Monday, 1,528 persons tested positive in Assam and 26 deaths were registered.
