7 more +ve in Cachar on Thursday, day’s total jumps to 134; 7 cases from Cancer Hospital
August: Another 7 patients were detected as COVID-19 positive on Thursday night in Cachar as per the 5th slot of RT-PCR Test Results. With this, the day’s total has now gone upto 134. A total of 739 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done during the day, out of which, 93 were detected positive. The rest 41 were found positive in 5 slots of RT-PCR Test. Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of Silchar Medical College & Hospital informed that 4 more patients have died at SMCH in the last 24 hours, out of which, two are from Cachar district, while the others are from Karimganj.
In the 5th slot of RT-PCR Test Results, 4 more persons from Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre (CCHRC) were tested positive. They are a 15-year-old boy, 45-year-old female, 25-year-old female and 32-year-old female. All are patients at CCHRC. Earlier during the day, 3 more persons at Cachar Cancer Hospital were found positive as per the test results of the 4th slot. One of them hails from Khowai in Tripura, the other is from Tukubari Basti, while the 3rd one is from Meherpur. With this, a total of 7 persons from Cachar Cancer Hospital were detected as COVID-19 positive on Thursday.
In the 1st slot of RT-PCR Test Results, 6 persons were found positive on Thursday. They are a 33-year-old male from Borkhola, who travelled by air from Chennai. The rest 5 are from Masimpur Military Station. They are a 33-year-old male, 35-year-old male, 28-year-old male, 25-year-old male and a 29-year-old male. All of them are asymptomatic but got infected as they came in direct contact with high risk lab confirmed case.
In the 2nd slot of RT-PCR Test results, 15 persons were found positive. They are a 30-year-old male from UBI Building, Central Road, Silchar, who travelled by air from Uttar Pradesh. Another 25-year-old male from Borkhola was also found positive who came by air from Chennai. Two more air passengers, one 20 years old female from Siripur Pt-I, Katakhat, Cachar (Air passenger from Bangalore) and 36 years old male from Army Camp, Masimpur (Air passenger from Punjab) were tested positive. All of them are asymptomatic.
Six persons in the 2nd slot were detected positive as they came in direct contact with high risk lab confirmed cases. They are a 35-year-old female from SBI Tarapur, 40-year-old male from Shivalik Park, 70-year-old male from Vivekananda Road, 41-year-old male from Bandhan Bank, Shillongpatty, 42-year-old female from Mela Road, Malugram and 34-year-old female from Lane 10, 1st Link Road. All of them are asymptomatic.
Apart from them 5 more persons were found positive in the 2nd slot. However, their source of getting infected was not mentioned in the SRF. They are a 41 years old male from Udharbond, 23 years old male from AFS Kumbhirgram, 27 years old male from Pangram-II, 49 years old male from Udayachal Lane and 41 years old male from GREF Camp, Nagatilla.
In the 3rd slot of RT-PCR Test results, another 5 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive. Out of them, two are pregnant cases in near labour at present admitted in SMCH. One of them is from Athal Basti, Ghungoor, while the other one is from Katigorah. One 64-year-old male presently admitted at Bed No.01, MICU was found positive with ILI symptoms. Another person, a 39-year-old male with SARI symptoms was detected COVID-19 positive. He is from Ashram Road, Silchar. The last one in this slot is a 42-year-old male from Hospital Road, Silchar. His source of being infected, was, however not mentioned in the SRF.
The 4th slot of RT-PCR Test Results contained information about 6 new positive cases. One of them, a 48-year-old male is a staff of SMCH. Another person, a 58-year-old male from Narshingpur was also found positive. A pregnant woman in near labour from Saidpur Pt-5 (presently admitted at SMCH) tested positive. A 60 years old female from Nilambazar also tested positive. The rest in the slot are patients from Cachar Cancer Hospital & Research Centre.
In the 5th slot of RT-PCR Test Results, 7 persons were found positive. Out of them, 4 are patients at Cachar Cancer Hospital. The rest 3 are a 65-year-old female from Madhurbond, 54-year-old male from Bilpar and 65-year-old female from Sree Durga Sarani.
