6 detected Covid +ve till 6 PM in Cachar on Thursday

Sept 9: A total of 06 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 6 PM on Thursday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 2,788 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were done in which 06 persons were found positive, whereas till the filing of this report, RT-PCR test reports were not made available. It needs mention here that 11 persons were detected Covid-19 positive on Wednesday.

The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 8 September to 5 PM on 9 September) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Thursday evening.

Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 9 September, there were 26 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, no patients were put under ventilator support and 11 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 06 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 05 of them were discharged.
