134 found corona +ve in Karimganj on Thursday, 115 discharged

May 20: Karimganj registered highest spike of 134 fresh COVID-19 cases on Thursday, pushing the coronavirus tally in the district to 6,344. Of the 134 active cases detected on Thursday, 132 have been found positive under Rapid Antigen Test and two under RT-PCR.  It needs mention that on Wednesday, 120 persons were detected as Covid positive in Karimganj district.

The district has currently 698 active COVID-19 cases while 115 patients have been discharged from hospitals and home isolation on Thursday. 3,185 swab samples were collected on Thursday. Altogether 2,60,421 samples have been tested so far. 16 persons with high risk contacts traced and tested on Thursday. There are five containment zones in Karimganj town.
