231 persons test Covid-19 +ve in Cachar till 6 PM on Tuesday
13 air passengers during the day were detected as Covid-19 positive
May 18: A total of 231 new cases of COVID-19 was reported till 6 PM on Tuesday in Cachar. The number of positive cases is expected to rise towards the night. During the day, 218 persons were found positive in Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT), whereas 13 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. This was informed by Suman Choudhury, District Media Expert on Tuesday evening. It needs mention here that on Monday, 453 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
During the day, 156 air passengers who arrived at Silchar Airport underwent Covid test at MG Model Hospital, Tikal. A total of 13 air passengers during the day were detected as Covid-19 positive.
