ওয়েটুবরাক, ১৮ মে: শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজে আরো একটি অক্সিজেন জেনারেশন প্লান্ট নির্মাণ করা হবে । পাশাপাশি কোভিড রোগীদের জন্য আরো ১৮০টি বেড প্রস্তুত করা হবে। ফলে কোভিড বেড বেড়ে হবে ৪৬০৷ বাড়বে আইসিইউ-র শক্তিও৷ মোট আইসিইউ বেডের সংখ্যা ২৪০-এ দাঁড়াবে। রাজ্যের স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী কেশব মহন্ত আজ মঙ্গলবার মেডিক্যাল কলেজের সভাকক্ষে জনপ্রতিনিধি, কলেজ কর্তৃপক্ষ এবং জেলা প্রশাসনের উচ্চপদস্থ আধিকারিকদের সঙ্গে অনুষ্ঠিত পৃথক দুইটি বৈঠকে এই সিদ্ধান্তের কথা জানান।
তিনি বলেন, খুব শীঘ্র শিলচর মেডিক্যাল কলেজ কোভিড বেডের সংখ্যা ৪৬০-এ বাড়ানো হবে। স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী বৈঠকে কোভিড পরিস্থিতি খতিয়ে দেখার পাশাপাশি মেডিক্যাল কলেজ কর্তৃপক্ষের সঙ্গে অনুষ্ঠিত বৈঠকে কলেজের সবকয়টি বিভাগের সমস্যা সম্পর্কে অবহিত হন এবং এর নিরসনের জন্য ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে বলে জানান।
বন ও পরিবেশ, আবগারি ও মৎস্য মন্ত্রী পরিমল শুক্লবৈদ্য বৈঠকে অংশ নিয়ে জেলার চা বাগান গুলিতে কোভিড টেস্টিং করার জন্য শিবির স্থাপন করতে প্রশাসনকে বলেন। এ প্রসঙ্গে স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী মহন্ত জানান, চা-বাগানে হোম আইসোলেশন এর ব্যবস্থা করা যাবে না। তাই কোভিড কেয়ার সেন্টার এর ব্যবস্থা করতে হবে। বৈঠকে সংসদ রাজদীপ রায় বাগান এলাকায় বর্তমান পরিস্থিতিতে অত্যাবশ্যক পণ্য সামগ্রী সরবরাহ অব্যাহত সুনিশ্চিত করার ব্যবস্থা নিতে প্রশাসনকে বলেন।
জেলার বিধায়কদের উপস্থিতিতে রাজ্যের স্বাস্থ্য বিভাগের প্রিন্সিপাল সেক্রেটারি অনুরাগ গোয়েল জানান, মেডিক্যাল কলেজের স্বাস্থ্য পরিষেবায় আরো গতি আনতে প্রয়োজনীয় সিদ্ধান্তগুলির মঞ্জুরি অনুমোদন দু-একদিনের মধ্যেই দিয়ে দেওয়া হবে।

জেলাশাসক কীর্তি জল্লি প্রশাসনের বৈঠকে পাওয়ার পয়েন্ট প্রেজেন্টেশন উপস্থাপন করে মেডিক্যাল কলেজ হাসপাতালে ২৪ ঘন্টা জলের পর্যাপ্ত জোগান সুনিশ্চিত করতে একটি ডেডিকেটেড জলের লাইন সম্পূর্ণ পৃথক ভাবে করার প্রস্তাব দেন। এই ব্যাপারে ব্যবস্থা নেওয়া হবে বলে সভায় জানান স্বাস্থ্যমন্ত্রী। জেলাশাসক জল্লি জানান, জেলায় এখন পর্যন্ত ৪৭২১ জনকে পজিটিভ শনাক্ত করা হয়েছে। এর মধ্যে পুরুষ ২৬৬৩ জন, মহিলা ২০৫৮ জন। ৩১৮৬ জনকে চিকিৎসা করে সুস্থ করে তোলা হয়েছে । বর্তমানে জেলায় ১৫০২ জন অ্যাক্টিভ কোভিড রোগী রয়েছেন । এর মধ্যে হোম আইসোলেশনে ১১৩৯ জন আছেন এবং হাসপাতালে ৩৬৩ জন চিকিৎসাধীন রয়েছেন। এ পর্যন্ত জেলায় ২০ হাজার ৫৩৪জনকে আরটিপিসিআর টেস্ট করে ২১৬৫ জনকে পজিটিভ শনাক্ত করা হয়েছে। আক্রান্তের আর ১০.৫ শতাংশ। এ পর্যন্ত রেপিড অ্যান্টিজেন টেস্ট করা হয়েছে ১৭৭১৯ জনকে। এতে ২৬৫৬ জনকে পজিটিভ শনাক্ত করা হয়েছে। আক্রান্তের হার ৩.৩ শতাংশ বলে জানান জেলাশাসক জল্লি।
দুটি সভাতেই অন্যান্যদের মধ্যে চার বিধায়ক মিহির কান্তি সোম, দীপায়ন চক্রবর্তী, করিমউদ্দিন বড়ভূঁইয়া, খলিল উদ্দিন মজুমদার এবং জেলার বিভাগীয় প্রধানরা অংশ নেন । মেডিক্যাল কলেজ সংক্রান্ত সভায় অধ্যক্ষ ডা. বাবুল বেজবরুয়া, সুপার ডা. অভিজিৎ স্বামী এবং সব বিভাগীয় প্রধান অংশ নেন।
Health Minister also stated that within a very short span of time the beds for the Covid patients will be increased up to 460. The Health Minister was apprised about the problems in all the departments of the hospital by the medical college authorities and said that steps would be taken to resolve them. Environment and Forest, Excise and Fisheries Minister Parimal Suklabaidya took part in the meeting and asked the administration to set up camps for Covid testing in tea gardens in the district.
In this context, Health Minister Mahanta said that home isolation cannot be arranged in tea gardens. However, Covid Care Centers can be arranged. During the meeting, Member of Parliament, Silchar, Dr Rajdeep Roy asked the administration to take steps to ensure continuous supply of essential commodities in the tea garden areas.

Deputy Commissioner, Cachar, Keerthi Jalli made a power point presentation and proposed to construct a dedicated water line to ensure adequate water supply to the Medical College Hospital 24 hours a day. The Health Minister assured that action would be taken in this regard.
DC, Jalli said 4721 people have been identified positive in the district so far. Of these, 2663 are males and 2058 females. 3186 people have been treated and cured so far. At present, there are 1502 active Covid patients in the district. Of these, 1139 are in home isolation and 363 Covid patients under treatment in hospital. So far, 20,534 people in the district and 2165 people have been identified positive through RT-PCR test. Till now, 17,719 people have been tested under Rapid Antigen, out of which 2,656 people have been identified positive. The Deputy Commissioner also pointed out that the infection rate was 3.3 per cent.
The two separate meetings were attended by MLAs, Mihir Kanti Shome, Dipyan Chakraborty, Karim Uddin Barbhuiya, Khalil Uddin Majumder, district heads, among others. The medical college meeting was attended by Principal Dr. Babul Bezbaruah, Dr.Abhijit Swamy and all the departmental HODs.
