CID team reaches Silchar to conduct investigation into the Bethukandi dyke breach case

July 5: A CID team has reached Silchar to conduct investigation into the Bethukandi dyke breach incident. Meanwhile, Cachar Police has already arrested 4 suspects involved in this case. Last Friday, Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma during his Silchar visit declared that the CID has been entrusted the onus of conducting investigation into this matter.

Those arrested were identified as Mithu Hussain Laskar, Nazir Hussain Laskar, Ripon Khan & Kabul Khan. SP Cachar Ramandeep Kaur stated that these four were arrested on the basis of a video.
