Jewellery shops offer 15% off on making charges if shown indelible mark on their finger: DC Hailakandi
April 9: To attract voters, attractive discounts are being announced in celebration of the festive election bonanza. For any voter who can show indelible mark of their finger on 18 and 19 of April, 2019, discounts shall be given by various shops. Jewellery shops have announced a 15% off on making charges. Restaurants have announced a flat 10% discount. Pharmacists have announced a 4% discount on all medicines.
Following an appeal by Deputy Commissioner of Hailakandi, Keerthi Jalli, the Hailakandi Merchants’ Association, Drugs Dealers’ Association, Gold Dealers’ Association and Hotels and Restaurants Association agreed to provide discounts on a range of merchandise products, medicines, gold making, and concession on accommodation to the voters who turn up to vote on polling day. The offers are available for two days on April 18 and 19, 2019.
In a unique attempt DC Hailakandi in association with SVEEP cell has requested local Merchant Associations to come join us in increasing voter turnout in town areas where usually urbane residents don’t go to vote. Tridip Roy, SVEEP and Media Cell Officer In-charge said, “For any voter who can show an indelible mark on their finger, discounts shall be given by various shops and outlets.”
Deputy Commissioner Keerti Jalli said, “We are very happy to announce that the Associations came forward and matched our enthusiasm. To attract such voters, attractive discounts are being announced in celebration of the festive bonanza. We request all to go vote on 18th and make use of this unique opportunity.”
