Wrestler Bajrang Punia wins bronze at Tokyo Olympics

Aug 7: Bajrang Punia won bronze at Tokyo Olympics as India bagged its second medal in wrestling on Saturday. 27-year-old Bajrang Punia won the bronze after defeating Daulet Niyazbekov of Kazakhstan in the men’s freestyle 65 kg category at Tokyo Olympics. This is India’s second medal in wrestling at the Olympics this year. Earlier, Ravi Dahiya won India’s first wrestling medal at the Tokyo Olympics by bagging silver in the men’s 57 kg freestyle event. India have 7 wrestling medals in the Olympic history.
