MLA Kaushik Rai assures to donate ₹10 lakh for setting up of a library at JN Singh College, Udharbond

Feb. 22: Lakhipur MLA Kaushik Rai on Tuesday visited Jagannath Singh College, Udharbond and interacted with the students, teachers, staff and the members of the Governing Body. The MLA on his visit to the college anounced, “I promise to donate Rs. 10 lakh from my own accord to establish a library in the memory of eminent local personality Late Beni Madhav Das.”

MLA Rai further assured that he will be in close collaboration with MP, Silchar Dr. Rajdeep Roy and local MLA Udharbond, Mihir Kanti Shome to ensure all round development of the institution.The programme was graced by the dignified presence of former Governing body President Surya Kumar Sharma, noted educationist & social worker Khaunish Chakraborty, new Governing Body President Somnath Deb, Principal, teaching and non-teaching staff of Jagannath Singh College.
