78 found Covid +ve in Assam on Friday, active cases 468 in the state

July 1: On Friday, out of 989 tests, 78 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,24,926. The positivity rate in the state is 7.89 percent. Out of the 78 positive cases, 61 were detected from Kamrup Metro, 12 from Kamrup Rural and 01 each from Goalpara & Biswanath.

Further, on Friday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,639. The recovery rate is 98.83 percent. 35 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,16,470 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 468 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Thursday, 60 persons tested positive in Assam and no death was registered.
