Cachar Police seizes 2.112 kg of suspected brown sugar, 3 arrested

Jan. 26: Acting on a input developed by the Special Task Force formed to counter drug trafficking in Cachar district, a consignment of 2.112 kg of suspected brown sugar has been seized at Rajnagar (Bhaga Bazar) under Dholai PS while it was being transported from Vairangte, Mizoram.

Three persons have been arrested in this connection. They are Nazim Uddin Laskar (37), Faruk Ahmed Barbhuiya (34) and Nazrul Hoque Laskar (45). An Alto car which was used during the trafficking has also been seized. Police informed that further investigation into this matter is going on.
