Country is entering a ‘risky period’ with approaching festivals: NITI Ayog

Sept. 14: NITI Ayog member (Health) Dr VK Paul on Monday said that the third wave of Covid-19 cannot be ruled out. He said, “There could be pandemics within pandemics.” Dr Paul also cautioned the people and stated that the country is entering a “risky period” with approaching festivals. He also said that we will need to wear masks through next year too.

Dr Paul said, “If people lower their guard this festival season, it could lead to a total mess. Earlier last month, the central government had also asked all states and Union territories to ensure there is no large gathering during festivals and that they take proactive measures to check the spread of coronavirus.
