From 2021, people with more than 2 children will not get govt jobs

October 21: The Assam cabinet on October 21st, 2019 approved Two Child norms and Prohibition of Child Marriage Act norms for entry and continuation in government service. This new policy will come into effect from 1 January, 2021 in Assam.

This means that anyone having more than two children will be considered ineligible for getting government jobs in the state of Assam. Further, the state government also directed the existing government employees to strictly follow the two-child norm for continuation in their existing job.

In a revolutionary move, the Cabinet approved Two Child norms and Prohibition of Child Marriage Act norms for entry and continuation in Govt. service.
