1278 Assam Police personnel tests +ve till date, 4 succumbed to COVID-19

July 28: Coronavirus has infected almost every section of the populace. However, many on the line of duty were also infected. Assam Police has witnessed many of its cops test coronavirus positive. Till Tuesday, 1278 Assam Police personnel tested coronavirus positive. As of now, 957 of them have recovered. Among them, 207 cops have already rejoined duty. Further, four Assam Police personnel have lost their lives while fighting against COVID-19. This was confirmed in a tweet by GP Singh, Additional Director General of Police (law and order), Assam on 28 July.
