1 die & another severely injured in a bike accident at Karimganj

May 4: A major street accident took place at Sarisha area in Karimganj district of Assam. A vehicle collided head-on with a motorbike. The pillion rider identified as Dipankar Choudhury lost his life in the accident, whereas the bike rider Soumitra Das was critically injured. He has been admitted at Karimganj Civil Hospital. Both of them are residents of Karimganj town.

On being informed, police reached the spot and took the bike in their possession. The dead body was sent for post-mortem. However, the vehicle responsible for the fatal accident escaped from the spot and could not be traced.
