With 30 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 129 on 23 June, 4 deaths registered
Active cases 1,629 in Cachar; 209 discharged on Wednesday
June 23: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Wednesday at 11.55 PM. As per the latest data, 30 more persons were detected as coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 129 persons were found positive in the district on 23 June. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 99 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 1,629. This was informed by DIPRO Cachar on Wednesday night. Also, 209 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Tuesday, 203 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 21,162 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 97 persons were found positive, whereas 32 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 16,948, whereas during this phase, 15,158 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 1,629 active patients:
- 115 of them are admitted at SMCH
- 11 at MH
- 50 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
- 16 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
- 18 at CRPF Doyapur
- 00 at Gracewell Nursing Home
- 10 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
- 04 at Valley Hospital
- 00 at South City Hospital
- 19 at Chibitabichia Model Hospital
- 09 at Jivan Jyoti Hospital
- 60 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
- 26 Palonghat Model Hospital
- 1,291 patients are in home isolation.
Death of Covid-19 patients continued unabated in Barak Valley. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 22 June to 5 PM on 23 June) witnessed demise of 04 Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH. Their detailed reports were forwarded to the State Death Audit Board. Out of the 4 deceased, 02 are from Cachar district and 02 from Karimganj district.
The deceased were identified as Akhil Suklabaidya (58) from Kamalpur in Karimganj district, Sumanta Roy (39) from Sarat Pally, Silchar, Pushpa Rani Saha (65) from Das Colony (Panchayat Road), Silchar and Suridhi Acharje (77) from Bajarighat in Karimganj district.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 23 June, there were 128 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College, out of which 73 patients were there in the ICU, whereas, 55 of them were in the Covid ward. Further, 11 patients were put under ventilator support and 92 of them were in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 18 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH but none were discharged.
