With 14 more Covid +ve cases, day’s total in Cachar rises to 19 on 11 Sept
Active cases 101 in Cachar; 22 discharged on Saturday
Sept 11: The District Health Department of Cachar updated the Covid-19 data of Saturday at late night. As per the latest data, 14 more persons were detected as Coronavirus positive during the day. With this, a total of 19 persons were found positive in the district on 11 September. Earlier, at 6 PM, it was informed that 05 persons were found positive. With this, the number of active cases in Cachar has reached 101. This was informed by District Media Expert on Saturday night. Also, 22 patients were discharged during the day. It needs mention here that on Friday, 13 persons were detected as Covid-19 positive in Cachar.
As per the updated data, a total of 3,271 Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) were done, out of which, 05 persons were found positive, whereas 14 more were detected positive in RT-PCR Test. With this, the total number of Covid cases since 1 April, 2021 reached 19,897 whereas during this phase, 19,598 patients were discharged.
Apart from this, the district authority informed that out of the 101 active patients:
18 of them are admitted at SMCH
06 at MH
06 at SM Dev Civil Hospital
05 at Green Heals Pvt Hospital
01 at Cachar Cancer Hospital
11 at Chotodudpatil Model Hospital
60 patients are in home isolation.
The Covid-19 situation in gradually is gradually improving. There has been substantial decline in the number of daily positive cases. The last 24 hours (5 PM on 9 September to 5 PM on 11 September) did not witness the death of any Covid-19 positive patient at Silchar Medical College & Hospital (SMCH). This was informed by Dr. Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH on Saturday evening.
Dr Bhaskar Gupta, Vice Principal of SMCH informed that till 5 PM on 11 September, there were 23 Covid-19 active patients at Silchar Medical College. Further, 01 patient was put under ventilator support and 1 in oxygen support. In the last 24 hours, 07 Covid positive patients were admitted at SMCH and 02 of them were discharged.
