Week long teacher training program organised by Samgra Shiksha concludes in Cachar

way2barak, November 10: The week-long, two-phase teacher training program organized by Samagra Shiksha Cachar concluded on saturday, marking a significant stride in the district’s mission to strengthen foundational learning and teaching excellence. Held at Silchar Town High School from November 1 to November 8, the program brought together 227 teachers from eight education blocks and 30 educators from PM Shri Schools across Cachar district.

The intensive training aimed at equipping teachers with advanced pedagogical tools to ensure improved learning outcomes for students of Classes I and II. Sessions included hands-on modules on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), Comprehensive Progress Reports (CPR), Teaching Learning Materials (TLM), Multi-Class and Multi-Level Classroom Management, NEP 2020, PARAKH, and NCF-FS 2022. Inaugurated in the presence of Gautam Dev, DPO (Teacher Training), and Sarat Chandra Sharma, the program saw a robust exchange of ideas between trainers and participants. Eminent educationists including Dr. Satyajit Das, Gopal Krishna Pal, Sabina Sultana Majumdar, Biplob Das, Pankaj Das, Piyush Kumar Singha, Kingshuk Bhattacharya, and Biplob Biswas led various sessions, while state-level experts Abul Qasim Tapadar and Dr. Bidyut Deb Chowdhury delivered impactful lectures.
While sharing her reaction on the training program, Additional District Commissioner (Education) Smt. Antara Sen commended the initiative and called upon teachers to act as “torchbearers of transformation” in the classroom. “The foundation of a child’s learning is laid in the early years, and teachers are the architects of that foundation,” she added.
