War against drugs: Assam Police registers 1879 cases, arrests 3216 & seizes ₹344 cr in 8 months

Jan. 13: Since the last few months, Assam Police has been relentlessly waging a war against drugs menace. From the month of May to December, 2021 (last 8 months), Assam Police has registered 1,879 cases against those involved in the drugs racket. Moreover, in the same period, 3,216 persons were arrested by the police in this connection. Huge quantity of narcotics were also seized by the state police in this connection during last May to December, in which Assam Police has collected Rs. 344,79,91.785.
