Assam Reach Final in Men’s 50+ Football at National Masters Games

Way2barak, January 30 : Assam have confirmed their place in the final of the men’s 50+ football event at the 8th National Masters Games, being held in Pune from 27 January. The Assam team is being represented at the Games by the Badarpur Masters Games Association (BMG).
Assam began their campaign on Wednesday with a convincing 2–0 victory over Andhra Pradesh, with goals from Manas Rabha and Roshan Ahmed Laskar. On Thursday, they played two matches. In the morning fixture, Assam edged past Karnataka by 1–0, with Roshan Ahmed scoring the decisive goal. Later in the afternoon, Assam were held to a goalless draw by Kerala, with both teams sharing a point each.
In their final league match today, Assam defeated Nagaland by 1–0 to seal their spot in the final. The lone goal of the match was scored by Manas Rabha. With this win, Assam finished their league campaign on a strong note as a table topper and advanced to the final of the men’s 50+ football event. Emad Uddin, secretary of Badarpur Masters Games Association has informed that the final match will be played in the evening today.
