Video classes through Doordarshan to be conducted by AHSEC for HS Students

June 11: The outbreak of coronavirus pandemic followed by subsequent nationwide lockdown has led to closure of educational institutions across the country since mid-March. The Union government has still not given any fixed schedule for reopening of schools and colleges. It is in this backdrop that the Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (AHSEC) has decided to start video classes on Higher Secondary classes through Doordarshan Kendra Guwahati from 11 June.

AHSEC has collaborated with State Council of Educational Research & Training, Assam (SCERT) for this purpose. The video classes will be aired on Doordarshan four days a week – Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12.30 pm to 1.30 pm. In a press statement issued by the AHSEC, it was stated that the students of Higher Secondary can download an app from Google Play Store for this purpose.
