161 found Covid +ve in Assam on Monday, active cases 710 in the state

July 4: On Monday, out of 1,631 tests, 161 persons were detected as COVID-19 positive in Assam. With this, the state tally of coronavirus stands at 7,25,271. The positivity rate in the state is 9.87 percent. Out of the 161 positive cases, 90 were detected from Kamrup Metro, 24 from Kamrup Rural, 11 from Dibrugarh and 07 from Darrang.

Further, on Monday, none died in the state due to COVID-19. The death toll in the state stands at 6,639. The recovery rate is 98.80 percent. 25 persons were discharged during the day. So far, 7,16,573 persons got cured and were discharged. There are at present 710 active Covid patients in the state.

It needs mention here that on Sunday, 74 persons tested positive in Assam and no death was registered.
