Rotary Club of Greater Silchar Spreads Diwali Joy at Nivedita Nari Sanstha

way2barak October 22: In a beautiful celebration of love and compassion, the Rotary Club of Greater Silchar marked Diwali and Kali Puja with the residents of Nivedita Nari Sanstha, Meherpur — a shelter home for girls below 18yrs living under care and protection.

Led by Club President Rtn. Dr. Rajat Deb, the celebration was filled with warmth, laughter, and festive spirit. Rotarians distributed new clothes, sweets, and snacks, lighting up many innocent smiles.

“The true essence of Diwali lies in sharing happiness,” said Rtn. Dr. Rajat Deb and Rtn. Subhas Dhar also added, “Standing beside them is not charity — it’s humanity.”

The girls expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying this Diwali will remain one of their most cherished memories.
